Storm Binding Guidelines for Lloyd’s Authorities:
No new business or increased coverage shall be bound on properties when a designated tropical depression, tropical storm or hurricane is located within the boundaries West of 72 degrees W. Longitude; and North of 15 degrees N. Latitude; and South of 32 degrees N. Latitude; and East of 95 degrees W. Longitude. Renewals are not subject to the above, – we will honor bind requests unless the risk has expired. The program manager, at his/her discretion, may lift the moratorium when imminent danger of a direct strike has passed thorough a regional area even if a storm may still be in the box. Written approval from the program manager must be in the file when this exception is made.
